Cameras

I have 3 film cameras, which I love, but I think it's time I went digital. having said this I will continue with film but digital is a little more convenient. My first film camera was the lovely Diana- plastic and cheap but don't expect anything but blurry dream like photos. It was fun to start with that camera and I tried a lot of experimental stuff with it. and then came along my Pentax 3p and Zenith 12, they are both old but great. I lucked out with both on eBay, I even got great lenses and extras and for dirt cheap! I will another day talk more about my film photography because it is very cool and I develop/ process all of my own film which is fun and then I will post some of my photography. Today's post is more about getting a digital camera, I want something really good, not to big and not to to expensive- I'm picky I know. so begins the hunt for the perfect camera, if anyone knows of or has a camera meeting my vague requirements do tell :)

Floral

I love floral prints, floral anything, it's really an obsession. The clothes your grandma would wear, her throw cushions, broaches? all flowers and pastels? yup that's my true love. Of coarse those who love me know me best and here are some of the things I got for Christmas :)

oh and sorry the photo quality's a bit rubbish

One Dread

Ok update on the dread lock situation, and thank you for the encouragement! I have for awhile wanted dreads and every once in a while ill google search about them and then about two weeks ago I was like 'I'm gonna do it! I'm going to get dreads!' which brought me to my last post on dreads. Literally right after posting that I dove into my 'research' and it really turned me away from them, I was looking into ways to take them out- people where saying you couldn't, that they can grow mold- ew, and everything bad imaginable was coming up.....Until I came across a youtube video- this girl how has dreads made videos all about them and answered every question I had. She also had a brilliant idea of putting one in to see if you like it, which I most certainly plan on doing Very soon :)

I was going to put up one of her videos but I think I will just give you the link.

I work in a consignment store, where people bring there stuff, the store sells it and both parties make a profit. Anyways I like working their because it's like a treasure hunt every day, yes there is the tackiest shit you will ever find, but there's also really unique jewelry, one of a kind clothes, vintage bags and the longer you spend in their the cooler the stuff you find. I recently bought a little world map bag, as seen in the photo. working their I also meet interesting people, usually a little crazy but it all makes for some good stories.

Dreadlocks

So I have been thinking for awhile now that I want to get dreadlocks, some of you might be thinking ew but oh well. I think they are really cool and diffrent/interesting, my plan was to do it this summer but I was talking to one of my friends and she thinks I should do it now, Im not sure but I'm thinking about it. Before commiting to the dreads Im going to do some more reasearch, my main concern is when I dont want them anymore, I've read that you have to shave your head- I would never, or cut it short - possibly so long as I could have extensions, and then there is the option of dread removal cream- thats my choice if it truly works.

Happy Holidays

I'm not usually one for animal video's but my mom sent this to me and it is cute/funny so I thought I would share, if only for the holidays

Tainted

We laughed a sensless joy
We danced like falling keys
The lights became a blur
And our thoughts travelled with ease

We cared not for the piles of ashes there'd be
When we lit the town alight
The sight of a thousand shooting stars
All landing in one flight

Nor bothered by the sight of blood:
Reds of rose and poppy cloves
We can't see it in the murkey night,
Why ruin our merrily delight?

For when the glorious sun sinks
And the battled skies trade sides
Our morals we leave behind
The poison slides, the rhythm pours
And by god we are human no more

Stressfull Gifts

I love Christmas shopping, or rather giving people presents, especially when I know they will love it. what I hate is when I don't know what to get Someone, specifically my brother. I've even asked him what he wants and he doesn't know, my time is seriously running out, I know I know 'way to leave it to the last minute', Christmas is in three days! yikes! I really don't know what I am going to do, he may end up with a very random present. If I could get him anything I would get him a dog but my parents wouldn't be very happy about that. hmm who knew such a pleasent holiday could be so stressfull!

wrinkles

Wrinkles are beautiful, they show the world you've lived. A wood carver repeats; making the same stroke after stroke to create his art and we smile after smile to work at showing our inner art. The more wrinkles and the deeper they are from smiling are the evidence that you enjoyed life, eye creases count the remarkable sights you've seen, lip lines the words you've spoken, and your hands a wrinkle for every persons life you've touched. Love your wrinkles.
